What the extension stores

The extension saves two settings: your chosen video quality and your chosen playback speed. They are kept locally in your browser (Chrome extension storage and the HBO Max site's own browser storage) so your choices are remembered. They never leave your device.

What the extension does not do

  • It does not collect browsing history, account details, viewing history or any other personal information.
  • It does not send any data to the developer or to third parties.
  • It does not use analytics, tracking or advertising.
  • It does not load code from remote servers.

Where it runs

The extension runs only on HBO Max web pages (hbomax.com and max.com), and only to provide its quality and speed controls.
